CNDS/DCC Class of 2000/01

Date: Tuesday, 9 January, 2001
Class: Revision Session

The class of 2000/2001 have all been hardworking, self motivated, and always extremely diligent, especially in handing coursework in on-time ;-). If you're reading this in the Year 2010, and you were part of the class, then there a video available here. If the AVI standard has died-out in favour of Microsoft video format, here's a few pictures for the archive:

What happens in Scotland the week after New Year?
Well you can see that there are still quite a few hangovers left here. This is St. Margaret's Hall on a cold Tuesday in January 2001. It was a revision session so that attendance is not as great as it normally is, also there were lots of courseworks to be completed (and the lecturer's a bit boring too).

The left wing
The diligent students at the front, who would keep me constantly on my toes asking all sorts of questions on the structure of the Internet, and associated issues. Oh and the backrow boys are difficult to see from this picture, but they contributed extremely well to the module, and asked many of the most thought-provoking questions.

The only exit!
The only exit (apart from the way that the lecturer can enter by) is at the back. So you can see that many of the students are congregated around it. I discovered later that there was a team digging a tunnel from which to escape from.

The right wing
Not as happy looking as the left wing, but still pretty happy.

Shiny, happy people
The extremely smilie faces of the front row team. A happy class, I can only assume (or maybe I've just told them that they'll all fail if they do not smile).

"Thank very much to everyone who worked so hard for the module in the 2000/2001. The teaching team hope that everyone achieved their potential, and that you will all use the knowledge and skills that you attained in the future, and get extremely well paid jobs because of it.
If you do receive any renumeration which relates to the knowledge that you gained on the module, we will visit you one-by-one, and request that you share part of it with us, as our retirement is fast approaching, and we aren't getting any younger. Are we? We suggest an initial 20% share of your future earning, rising to 90% within 10 years. Anyway good luck in your future, and we hope that your time spent at Napier was a useful one".
- CNDS Teaching Team 2000/2001
