This is my code snippets page. These are examples of pages which I have found that students generally need some help with.

Flash/XML

Macromedia Flash is one of the most innovative packages ever produced. In Flash you can design excellent animated graphics in minutes, which would be extremely difficult to do in many other packages. One of the great advantages is its integration with XML. A few example of are:

PHP

I get asked lots of questions from students about setting up PHP pages, so I've created this page to show the power of PHP. Please try out some of the examples. The following are a few simple examples of PHP (most are original examples of PHP code):

Two important areas of programming relate to networking, with WinSock, and serial communications, using RS-232. A few code snippets for these are:

Java

To be able to constrast VB WinSock with Java networking, I've added the following link:

DHTML

DHTML is an extremely powerful tool which can create excellent lighting effects, such as shadows and filters. Unfortunately it's only really supported by Internet Explorer, but here's a few example anyway:

Light filter
Drop shadow
