Notes

1

Toy Story

The best film ever. It was creative and technologically advanced, and it has a story that constantly surprised you. The best thing about the film was that it could be enjoyed by both adults and children (and space aliens, probably).

Best bits: So many to choose from, but I would say:

  • When Buzz and Woody are in the Space Alien vending machine, with the 'Claw'.
  • When Woody waves Buzzs' broken hand from the window, and shows that it is not attached to Buzz.
  • When Buzz greets the local natives.
  • Speak 'n Spell.
  • The injured toy soldier.
  • and so on.

Watch out for Toy Story 2. It it's half as good as the original, it'll still be worth it.

2

The Trueman Show

An excellent plot, which is acted well by Jim Cairy.

Best bit:

- When someone jumps onto the film set.

3

City of Angels

It’s all about an Angel (Nicholas Cage) who falls in love with Meg Ryan (tut!). The only way that he can get her to see him is to become human. The only catch is, is that he must give up his eternal life for her  (Honest, the film’s really good). I love the music and some of the images are amazing.

Best bits:

- The Angels on the beach watch the sun coming up.
- The Angels sitting on a road sign watching the traffic.
- When Nicholas Cage jumps off the building.
- The Goo Goo Dolls music.

As Good As It Gets

Jack Nic olson is excellent in this one. A good story line which starts off slowly and then builds to a fitting climax. It's one of these films that you don't really expect much from it, but it turns out to be excellent.

5

Face Off

This film really surprised me. I wasn't really expecting much from this film, but I loved it. The story has so many twists that you feel as if you are on a roller-coaster ride.

Best bit:

- Where Nicholas Cage meets himself (John Travolta) in the prison.

6

Liar, Liar

I love Jim Cairy. He is totally original and is very funny, and he can really act. The ad-libs at the end of the film are totally amazing and show that he has a real natural talent.

7

Aladdin (Disney)

Robin Williams is absolutely amazing in this film. I will never get tired of watch the bit were he sing 'You ain't never had a friend like me'.

8=

Ace Ventura

The Mask

Silly, but very funny.

9

Something about Mary

This film has got some of the funniest moments ever in a film.

Best bits:

- The part where he has an accident in the toilet (ouch!).

- The hair gel part.

- The dead dog scene (I know it doesn't sound funny, but it's absolutely hilarious)

10=

Austin Powers: Man of Mystery

The Spy Who *$£% Me

Crude, silly and very funny.

Best bits:

- '... one million dollars' (Dr Evil in the first film).
- '... my father was a ... ' (Dr Evil in the first film).
- '...www.zip.com' (Dr Evil to his son).
- '... I love you, Mini-me' (Dr Evil whispers to Mini-me).
- '... one hundred billion dollars' (Dr Evil in the second film).
-  Dr Evil fighting with the KKK on the Jerry Springer's show.

14
